Why choose blackberry wine this Easter
Blackberry wine? What is more accurate?
Yes, you read that right! It is about wine obtained from forest fruits, more precisely from blackberries. Maybe you will say that wine is made only from grapes. Wrong, we'd say! If we take a look in the explanatory dictionary of the Romanian language, we will find out that wine is an alcoholic drink obtained by fermenting grape must or by fermenting the must of other fruits.
So, it is possible! Wine can be made from many other types of fruit, not just grapes. To be able to do this, however, the winemaker must make sure that all the components necessary for fermentation are in perfect balance.
In some cases, additional herbs, flowers or spices can be added to the wine, macerated or infused, for a much more authentic taste. An example would be wormwood, a plant used by some people in rural areas when making their own wine.
Because blackberries are basically not that sweet, sugar or even honey can be added, which helps to increase the alcohol level. In some types of wine, such as strawberry or cherry, water may be added, just to adjust the higher natural acidity of the fruit.
Globally, dandelion, cherry or pineapple wines are some of the most common types produced. In Thailand, Southeast Asia or the Dominican Republic, the star is pineapple wine, wine that is produced in temperature-controlled vats, while in the United States cherry wine leads by far.

Comparison with red wine
As far as we know, red wine produced from grapes contains a series of vitamins and minerals that help with certain ailments of the body. Potassium helps regulate heart rate and produce energy. Fluoride is a mineral that prevents tooth decay and keeps tooth enamel strong. Phosphorus is good for the kidneys and supports the muscle contractions of the heart, and choline helps a lot with memory function.
Blackberries, by their chemical composition, are rich in various substances, such as vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, C, E, various minerals such as iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, selenium, copper or manganese, sugars, fibers, antioxidants, tannins, essential fatty acids Omega-3 and Omega-6. Just a simple enumeration, we notice that they are a real source of health.
If we do a little analysis, we notice that these types of wines are quite similar, and we would even give a bigger win to the blackberry wine. By consuming it, we can have benefits similar to consuming grape wine.
Wondering what these are?
First, it reduces the risk of mortality. In most of the studies conducted by the researchers, it was concluded that a moderate daily consumption of red wine can protect the body from causes of death. Good wine = long life! J
If you are a smoker, drinking wine can reduce the negative effect of smoking on your lymphatic vessels and heart. As with the brain, resveratrol in wine protects against Alzheimer's and dementia. These benefits are listed at first glance, but we are convinced that if we dig deeper into the research we can find many more.
Tradition and dedication
We, at Abund Berry we want to bring quality wine to our consumers, with the same benefits derived from drinking red wine. We tried to revive recipes hidden in grandmothers' drawers, about a wine that we believe should not be missing from Romanian homes.
We love blackberries and we love the land we grow them on. We take care of them like our own children and they repay our care by growing up beautifully and giving us their best. Out of love for them, we thought of celebrating them, offering them a place at the table alongside the chosen dishes from the Easter table.
Transformed into a quality wine, they will certainly add value to the dishes, and on the faces of your guests you will be able to read the good will and the delight they will have when they taste it.
We challenge you to make a change this year and bring Abund Berry into your home. It's time to change the old traditions and embrace the new ones. We know that Easter would not be the same without the famous drob and the highly praised lamb stew, but we can also bring to the table a selection of cheeses that will delight the taste buds of your guests. And desserts, especially those based on chocolate or cheese, will make the best team with blackberry wine.

While we're sure it's a bold choice, blackberry wine will be the center of conversation, and you'll be awarded superhost honors. Your guests will be curious to test this new wine, and you can pass yourself off as a true connoisseur of oenology. If you also tell them about the benefits of consuming this type of wine, then surely their appreciation will be commensurate.
So why not make a special day this Easter and try new things? And, who knows, maybe from now on, a new tradition will be born in your family, that every holiday meal must be accompanied by Abund Berry.
And something else! Since stocks are limited, we advise you to make sure it will arrive on your Easter table in time and look for it right now in stores or at our partners. Because it has a shelf life of 10 years, you don't have to worry about it expiring, and why not, you can even store a few bottles. You never know when your friends will come back and ask you about that wonderful wine that wowed them at your last party. Or maybe you yourself will miss it and want to enjoy it in peace on a quiet evening.
Having said that, we wish you a very refined Easter and wish you all the best in your shopping! We warmly invite you to visit our shop here.
