Ionel Burtea participated as a speaker at the " Agriculture of the Future" Event, organized by Wall-street.ro on May 18, at the Sheraton Bucharest Hotel.
Moderated by journalist Luca Dinulescu, the event discussed Romanian agriculture in 2023: context, perspectives and opportunities.
Ionel Burtea participated in the panel "Romanian agriculture in the context of the war in Ukraine. Action plans", in which the following topics were addressed:
- The import of cheap grain from Ukraine has turned Romania's agriculture upside down. The latest on one of the most significant topics of the year
- Romania has funds available (including from PNRR) for investments in agriculture in 2023. What should be their priority destination?
- The main problems of farmers and professional associations. What is the impact of climate warming, continued high energy prices, high labor costs and investment in inputs?
- Up-to-date irrigation situation. 2023 is already a year less dry than 2022, but will it stay that way?
- Synchronizing the needs of Romanian agriculture with European policy in the field. Is the Romanian agricultural sector advantaged by the decisions taken in Brussels in this regard?
The event brought together farmers, agribusiness companies and agricultural associations.
